A review of 3 sets of new age cards, each a perfect inspirational gift. Choose from the popular Angels of Light cards, Wisdom Cards or the new mystical Unicorn Cards.

Diana Cooper has created three different sets of new age cards which would make thoughtful and inspirational gifts. All 3 sets offer positive affirmations as well as guidance. They are beautifully illustrated and presented in a box which doubles as a stand. Almost twice the size of a standard playing card, these guidance cards can be set up on a desk, beside the phone, next to the bed, or ideally in a meditation area.

Angel Cards for Daily Affirmations and Guidance

The Angels of Light Cards will be welcomed by anyone familiar with the best selling book by Diana Cooper called “A Little Light on Angels”. Angels are believed to be high frequency beings of light and are traditionally holy messengers of God. Diana Cooper teaches that following the inspiration and guidance of angels will “raise your consciousness…..and attract to you situations and people of a higher vibratory level.”

The easy to follow instructions explain to how to use the angel cards for daily affirmations and guidance. For the more adventurous, there is a suggested 3 card spread which offers an in depth angel reading. 45 of the 52 cards relate to different qualities such as Introspection, Joy and Kindness.

The remaining 7 cards represent Archangels. Although many religious and spiritual traditions believe that there are more than 7 archangels, it is generally agreed that there are 7 who stand before the throne of God. These are the ones that Diana Cooper has included in the angel card set:

This set of cards would also be good for daily guidance but perhaps more useful for challenging situations at work. Diana Cooper has collaborated with Greg Suart in writing text for the Wisdom Cards which reads more like coaching. This deck would make a wonderful inspirational gift for a special guy starting his career, or changing from one job to another.

There is even a Wisdom Card covering that most elusive situation: Win Win. Another unusual card in this set is Ambition. “Ambition is like rocket fuel propelling you towards your goal.” The positive affirmation on this card is “I aspire to be great and glorious". Encouraging words to focus on living life positively.

Unicorn Cards of Mystery and Imagination

New this year, Diana Cooper has created the Unicorn Cards to be different from the other 2 sets. The 44 Unicorn Cards have full color individual illustrations created by Damian Keenan. The pictures are wistful and sweet, making them a perfect inspirational gift for a younger person or a fan of unicorns. The numbered cards each have a positive affirmation as well as a single word title. This word, Diana Cooper says “ ..represents a different divine quality or person from Mystery to Magic, Mother Mary to Archangel Michael.”

There is a booklet with the cards, explaining these divine qualities. For example Unicorn Card number 3 has the title Blessings. The picture is of a farmer dressed in pristine denim overalls and surrounded by delightful farm animals. A unicorn looks on while the farmer counts his blessings on his fingers. The positive affirmation is “ Count your blessings and the good in your life will multiply.” The booklet explains: “When you ask the unicorns to use you as a channel for their blessings, miracles can take place.”

The Unicorn Cards, unlike the others, have a Christ card and a Mother Mary card. The figures appearing in the illustrations could have been more internationally representative. All are fair skinned apart from a Native American depicting Wisdom.
