Number thirty-three, the master healer, is considered to be the number of the avatar by many numerologists. Loving energies dominate, but awareness is still important.

Number thirty-three’s symbolism is represented by the Archangel Michael. This well-known angelic figure is seen as the angel of protection and guidance. Additionally, from an astrological perspective, a combination of Cancer and Pisces make up the characteristics, both good and bad, of this master number in numerology.

As a result of the strong emotional connections that are apart of this master number, it is said that number thirty-three is associated with learning to discover the power of healing through love. The person with a life path number of thirty-three in numerology is learning to become totally selfless and to love unconditionally.

As with all numbers in numerology, there is both a positive and negative side to the number’s personality characteristics. This is even true for the avatar number. In the case of the master healer it’s important to understand that when a person’s energy is not operating at its highest vibratory level that these people will act more like the number six, thus incurring all the problems that are typical to a person with a six life path.

Additionally, Hans Decoz, considered by some to be one of the most well-known numerologist alive today, points out in his book Numerology: Key to Your Inner Self (Avery Publishing Group, 1994) a few additional problems that thirty-threes have to work hard to overcome. These include both codependency and compulsive lying.

The master healer can become a compulsive liar if they fall into one of two traps. The first trap involves a desire to avoid hurting other people's feelings. The second trap involves a person's desire to be viewed by others as "special." In either case, the person is not living up to his full potential as a thirty-three.

In the case of codependency, the root problem is that the person does not have the inner faith and belief that they are capable of handling the world on their own. As a result, they attach to a capable person. Once attached, they are unable to detach because of their inner fears. The person born with this number in their chart must learn to strike out on their own and to not be afraid of the world and the people within the world.

That is not an easy task for the master healer, as a majority have either been hurt tremendously in childhood or they are so sensitive to energy (more so than even the 11 and 22) that it overloads them emotionally and they feel as though they aren’t capable of dealing with the world’s problems. The lesson is to avoid "fixing" one person at a time, instead, focus toward larger goals and on groups of people.
