A huge Sphinx guards the entrance of the Egyptian Pyramids; a statement perhaps that within the Great Pyramid there is a message about the future of the world.

Piazzi Smyth, a past astronomer royal of Scotland, in his book Our Inheritance in the Great Pyramid (1874), suggested secrets were hidden in the dimensions of the great pyramids. His proposed dates for the Second Coming, first 1882 then many dates between 1892 and 1911, were failed predictions. Even so, his theories on pyramid prophecy were integrated into the works and prophecies of Charles Taze Russell, who founded the Bible Student Movement. Russell’s successor, Joseph Rutherford, denounced pyramidology as unscriptural.

Secret Chambers

Egyptian priests predicted that the measurements of the secret chambers and passageways within the great pyramid are linked to significant dates in history. Indeed there have been many theories regarding these pyramid predictions.

The two largest pyramids were actually built to safely store and pass down wisdom and knowledge of medicine, science, astronomy and mathematics. More importantly, they contain chronicles of times past and prophecies of things to come. These messages were written in symbolic form.

The ancient Egyptians used the cubit for measurement and these consisted of 25 pyramid inches. Some pyramidologists say that when measuring time, the pyramidical inch represents one solar year.

Chronological Map of Prophecies

Robert Menzies (born 1865) was the first to say that the internal passages of the Great Pyramid formed a chronological map of prophecies and that the Grand Gallery symbolised the Christian era in its shape, height and length. Egyptian records call this Gallery the ‘Passage of the Pure Waters of Life’. The length of the Grand Gallery is 153 feet corresponding with the number of fishes caught by the Apostles when ordered to do so by the risen Christ.

Another Egyptologist, Davidson, studied the whole passage-system of the pyramids and found that the Great Step between the First Ascending Passage and the Grand Gallery corresponded to the 33-year life span of Jesus Christ.

King's Chamber

The date corresponding with the Grand Staircase is 1914, representing the start of troubled times for mankind and then the King’s Chamber comes after the Grand Staircase. Egyptologist Max Toth suggested that the end of the 20th century marked the last phase of human history. Within the Great Pyramid there lies a blind passage which many believe marks the end of recorded time. Toth has calculated that a line from the King’s Chamber to this passage corresponds with the period in time relating to the end of the 20th Century and beginning of the 21st. These passages suggest a New Age of spiritual enlightenment when a Messiah will appear.

There is some contention about the dates represented by messages within the Pyramids but what does seem to be agreed on is that these messages tell of a New Golden Era following a time of sadness and destruction.
