Kids realize to some degree that they live in a thought-responsive universe. Adults can encourage imaginative play and directed thoughts toward prosperity and happiness.

Adults are re-learning what kids know as magical thinking. Using heartfelt affirmations and visualizations to increase faith and expectancy has been written about and even made into a modern movie. With some considerations, children can join in the movement to create form from thoughts.

Start Teaching the Law of Attraction With Imagination

Visualization training uses the imagination as a visualization tool. The first step in learning the power of thoughts is experiencing physical sensations from an idea. The thought of a lemon, for instance, creates the scent of the peel and saliva in the mouth. Use this and other mind-games to create images your child is familiar with. The smell of a flower, the heat of the sun, the taste of an apple – stay with each image until even the tiniest details are observed. Continue making connections with the body-mind. For instance, thinking about a stomach ache causes nausea. Your child will learn the power of mind and sharpen mental focus.

Put Wishes into Creative Perspective

Stress the importance of using will power responsibly. Responding to outrageous marketing by advertisers might be natural for children, but by discussing those ideas with supportive adults some of the hype can be diffused.

The most appropriate use of the universal law of attraction involves enjoyment, increase, and service. Kids understand these in terms of:

  1. Adding beauty or function to life;
  2. Developing talents, and;
  3. Helping others.

Teaching Kids the Power of Affirmation

Affirmations are specific sentences that, when repeated and thought about daily, build belief in the desired outcome. To write an affirmation start with the phrase, "I am so happy and grateful now that..." and add the thing kids want to have happen. "I have a new bedspread," would be in the beauty category. "I am taking singing lessons," could fit under developing talents. "I am using my new bicycle to run errands for elderly neighbors," is certainly a wish that encompasses helping others.

When teaching about affirmations and the law of attraction, parents should listen to children. Kids will have fun deciding how to apply their new secret of magnetic attraction.

A Treasure Map as a LOA Teaching Tool

A treasure map is a fun way to drive home the message of the power of affirmation and the law of attraction. Kids love activities involving cutting and pasting on a poster some pictures of how they see their future self, with their wishes fulfilled.

Magazines can supply photos, but it can be fun to add texture, drawing or lettering too. The picture should be a creative visualization of how life will be when the law of attraction brings about kids fun times on the vacation of their dreams, or at a performance of newly learned skills. Don't forget to add a picture of the money needed to pay for such changes. Parents can place the collage in a place of honor where the child can see it often, reminding the youngster of the law of attraction and affirmations.

Set a Good Example When Teaching the LOA

To avoid discouraging a child when it comes to the law of attraction, parents should avoid discussing lack or financial worries. Teach kids to give attention to thoughts of increase, while busying themselves with productive activities that can lead in the right direction, such as odd jobs or saving coins in a bank that has affirmations printed on it.

When teaching kids the law of attraction, it can also be helpful if parents share their own use of the law of attraction in detail: "While I am relaxing on my old couch I am visualizing that I am enjoying my new couch. I am so happy with the color, it matches well and it's so comfortable and the price was perfect." The best way to teach kids is to offer examples of the power of affirmation, like when that new couch appears in your living room!

Keep the Focus on Higher Things at Work

Being grateful is the first step toward increase. Self pity, blame, resentment or a sense of entitlement drives away abundance. Children need to know they are not creating wealth, but that it is given to them freely as a result of their awareness to ask for it and use it appropriately.

This means that the secret law of attraction must not be used to try to control other people. It can be difficult for kids to grasp that everyone has the right to make their own choices and no one has the power to know what is best in all situations. To illustrate this point, parents can use stories that show how something that appears to be bad can turn out to be good and vice versa to teach the principle of letting go.

Resist the temptation to be "Santa Claus" for all that children desire. Remind children that disappointment can be turned into trust that things are being arranged in even better ways. Particularly when serious illness strikes, it is important for children to realize that although the immune system does respond to positive thoughts, some experiences are difficult and complex. Have the child visualize loved ones in need with a smile on their face. And tell children that while they may be practicing using magic secrets to manifest things, it is perfectly okay to ask for understanding, too.
