In yet another demonstration of political proportions that serves neither the United States, its citizens or the countries involved, but rather serves to line the gold coffers of the current administration, their cronies and chemical allies, the US embarked on yet another round of bullying tactics talks with Afghan Officials to discuss spraying Opium crops from the air with the chemical Glyphosate in order to eradicate the Nations number one export: Opium Poppies and their derivatives.
The political correctness of the debate stems around the apparent safety of the herbicide in dropping it airborne upon the Afghan crops, citizens, children and livestock without harm. The real underlying curiosity is its ingested potency, which is indisputably lethal. Ingestion naturally falls within the 'outside of its intended use' paradigm, but can be assumed to include anyone eating, smoking or otherwise consuming it and sports an impressive 10% mortality rate.
There are parallels to the controversial 1960's 'Paraquat Pot' Government sponsored program, where Paraquat demonstrated a 70% mortality by consumption rate (which was later proved to be non-lethal, at least in its smoked form).
The Drug War. But exactly who are the sides again? Help me here.
Using questionable herbicides which have the potential to poison not only the innocent people caught in the vicinity of the fields themselves, but also the end users seems to be waging a war on innocents, at best and further persecution of the very 'victims' of this war.
Or, as a Drug Abuser, are you not a victim, but simply another soldier in the war? And if indeed a soldier, why has no one as of yet stepped forward and offered a compromise, a truce?
