2012 links and summary
Recent news, and the release of documentary film, An
Inconvenient Truth, has brought attention to current behaviours
of our species that could lead to the irreversible damage of the
earth in four years time. That brings us very close to 2012, a
prophesied time of great change in our consciousness and behaviour.
While expressed as the end of the World by some interpretations of
ancient myth, it's more likely to indicate some shift in global
awareness and perhaps the quality of sentience in the majority of
beings. The calander of the Maya, a pre-Columbian Meso-American
civilisation, and a renowned source of complex calendrics, ends here
prophesying the return of key deity, Kukulcan/Quetzalcoatl.
Independent researchers have also arrived at this date through either
astrological calculations or the analysis of seemingly disparate
myths from around the globe as one of great significance.
